  Dr.Kaba gave me a medicine named Xtampza E.R.9mg tablet that gave me severe breathing problems.Similar but much worse than an asthma attack.I was lucky to have an emergency inhaler.I went to his office two days later to explain what had happened,and that I was having other strange problems,which I never had before taking this drug.I was told by the receptionist that he would get back with me later that day.That was on Thursday,his office finally called me 5 days later on Tuesday,can you come in today at 2:00 p.m.I had waited to see him 5 days and was having major problems from this drug.Upon seeing Dr.Kaba I explained to him that I had a serious breathing reaction to to the medicine and other alarming reactions to the Xtampza E.R.and I was scared for my life.He replied your just having withdrawal symptoms.I begged him to change my medicine, but he said absolutely not.You just need to give it time to work.So he wrote me another script for Hydromorphone,and gave me 2 /21pill blister packs of Lyrica and scheduled me an appointment for 2 weeks later in the month.He wrote in my Patient Portal notes of my visit with him that day that there were no problems reported and that I had agreed to continue taking the medication he had prescribed for me.None of our conversation was in his report.That was a lie.Finally 5days later I went to see a Pulmonary specialist Dr.Bowen because I was still having major breathing problems and I explained what had happened.He did a Spirometry test on me along with other tests and found I have severe COPD.( 5/16/17)He advised me to discontinue the Xtampza E.R and talk to Dr.Kaba right away.Dr.Kaba's office called to reschedule my appointment from 5/19/17 to 5/22/17.Dr Kaba missed the last appointment he set for me ,he went on vacation and the Dr.that was filling in for him on that day,was shocked.I showed her the Spirometry report and I told her what I had said to him and what Dr.Kaba had said to me.She apologized to me.I demanded that they remove his lying remarks from my patient portal file,which someone did that same day.I asked them to send my info to another pain management company,and explained to Dr.Varela-Batista,MD that I had been in pain and misery for the past month and I wanted and needed help.She was kind,apologetic and understanding she gave me a prescription for 5mg Percocet enough for15 days and a letter of discharge stating National Pain Institute will continue to provide routine and emergency care over the next 30 days,it was dated (5/22/27).2 weeks past and I went back in to get my last 15 days of 5mg.Percocet,because I was not set up with any other pain management company yet.Dr.Kaba refused to give me any service or medication.I have a letter from him refusing to acknowledge the release letter from Dr. Varela-Batista M.D. even though they work for the same company.What kind of quackery is this?People make mistakes,you hope your Dr is not one of them.I would never recommend him to anyone,and I tell everyone that will listen about him.

  Office staff is the best. Yanny and Alexis are a pure joy to be around. Dr Kaba is kind and gentle with his care. Would recommend him to anyone suffering with chronic pain!
